About Us

The professional cosmetic company Kryolan began in 1945 in Berlin, West Germany.  It was, and still is, a family-owned business with over 200 employees spread across all areas of cosmetic formulation, manufacture and world-wide sales to the professional cosmetic market.

Kryolan in Australia had its origins back in 1978 when Mid City Pharmacy in Bourke Street, Melbourne, began stocking the Kryolan product range.  The majority of clients were makeup artists, professional and amateur performers in the film, stage and television industries. 

Many years, several moves and a name change later Kryolan Cosmetics has a new home in a state of the art, architecturally designed, very glamorous store located in the new Southern Cross precinct.  The new store is bigger and better than ever before showcasing all the products in the range.  The lovely Kryolan Cosmetics staff, are fully trained professional makeup artists and extremely well versed in the Kryolan range are happy to help and educate you on how to use these wonderful products.

Kryolan is renowned for its vast product range, high quality, and depth of pigments. It continues to be the makeup of choice for professional makeup artists. It is also widely used in makeup colleges for training the next generation of makeup artists, and everyday modern women have come to love Kryolan products for their own use.
